Every generation must say (for one reason or many others), "These are strange times we are living in!" I recall my both my grandparents and parents expressing distress over world events and natural disaster as I grew up. I'm even old enough to remember "tornado" drills in elementary school...when a great whining siren suddenly would crank up louder and louder and we would scramble to get underneath desks and tables so shattered windows would not harm us too badly. I even admit to going back to the days when folks actually built and maintained well equipped "fall-out shelters" in their backyards out of fear of a nuclear attack from Russia in the 1950's/early 1960's. Well I have to admit those measures seemed a little bizzare to me and my pals back then...our elders viewed a remote threat with different angst than we did. BE PREPARED...ESPECIALLY FOR FOOD SHORTAGES.
